Preparing Your RV for Miami’s Event Season: Repairs and Storage Tips
Miami's calendar does not care if the coach has been sitting. Art Basel traffic, stadium weekends, boat-show week, holiday weeks in the Keys — families want the rig ready, not a Thursday-night panic in the bay. Here is how to prep repairs and storage from Doral so event season is a trip, not a tow.
Repairs to handle before the rush
Do these while you still have a choice of appointment:
- A/C and generator — sitting coaches hide weak cooling until the first 90-degree weekend
- Tires, brakes, bearings — heat and storage both change pressures
- Roof and window seals — a slow leak becomes a wall during a week of rain
- Slides and awnings — they stick after months closed; better here than in a packed lot
- Propane and water systems — dump, sanitize, and confirm they hold
If it has been more than a season since a real look, book the inspection first. Parts that have to be ordered will not arrive because you have tickets on Saturday.
Storage that is actually near the events
